Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from the Nayapul after you drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From Nayapul the trekking trail takes you through many beautiful villages, low land rice fields and Modi Khola valley, pristine rhododendron forests. You also hike up to the Poon hill which is one of the Best sunrise view point in the Area. The maximum elevation you reach at this trek is Annapurna base camp at an altitude of (4110 meters / 13484 feet). Annapurna Base camp trekking Area is largely protected under the Annapurna Conservation Area and shelters 100 species of mammals, 60 reptiles and amphibians and more than 450 species of different birds.  You also trek the Machapuchare base camp and Annapurna Base camp and explore the glaciers nearby.                                                                                                                                                                  

The best season for Annapurna Base Camp trekking is during March to May, September to December

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Today we spend half day for trip arrangements and Half Day Guided Kathmandu valley Sightseeing Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Take a 6hrs drive for 22km far from Kathmandu to Pokhara (850 meters / 2788 feet).At evening last minute shopping and exploration of town.

Day 4: Drive for an hour from Pokhara to Nayapul which is the starting point of this trek and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540 meters / 5052 feet) passing through the low land rice fields and Modi Khola valley.

Day 5: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850 meters / 9350 feet) walking for about 6 hrs a day along the steep stony ascends of ulleri and through the pristine rhododendron forests and beautiful villages.                                                                                                                                                

Day 6: From Tikhedhunga you Hike up to Poon Hill (3210 meters) one of the best sunshine and sunset view point of the region and trek to Tadhapani (2660 meters / 8727 feet) walking for about 6 to 7 hrs a day through dense forests and abundant vegetation.                                                              

Day 7: Trek from Tadapani to Chomrong (2140 meters / 7020 feet) walking for about 6 hrs a day through the west bank of Modi khola along the steep path viewing the most spectacular view of the Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail).

Day 08: Trek from Chomrong to Dovan (2600 meters / 8530 feet) walking for about 6 hrs a day.

Day 09:  Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700 meters / 12139 feet) walking for about 6 hrs a day.

Day 10:  Gradually ascend from Machhapucchare Base Camp to Annapurna base camp (4110 meters / 13484 feet) climbing for about 6 hrs a day.

Day 11: From Annapurna Base Camp you trek back to Bamboo (2340 meters / 7677 feet) walking downhills for about 6 hrs a day.

Day 12: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu (1780 meters / 5839 feet) walking for about 6 hrs a day. Jhinu has a hot water spring where you can take a bath to toss away your exhaustion of the trek.

Day 13: Trek back from Jhinu to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.

Day 14: Spend half day sightseeing at Pokhara for boating in Phewa Lake and From Pokhara you fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 15: Farewell and transfer to airport for flight back to destination country.
